An unusual train in an unusual location - for Metrolink. F59PH 856, a single coach and Metrolink's sole F40PH (800) operate in San Diego's Rose Canyon, further south than Metrolink typically operates. A 1080 HD Blue Ray video camera mounted on a steady cam mount in the cab is recording the entire Metrolink system and, in this case, the Coaster system as well, reportedly for a Postitive Train Control bid, as well as having footage to use in training crews - from dispatcher training to crossing safety.
