Remarks & Notes |
The northbound DEX (Denali Express) has departed the depot in Anchorage after making a quick crew swap. This dedicated train is run every Saturday and Monday in the summer serving Princess Cruise lines passengers arriving in Whittier. The cars which normally ride on the rear of the regular Denali Star Passenger train are set out two nights a week and run a special train non stop from Whittier to Denali. This pile trestle crossing the salmon laden Ship Creek is right in downtown Anchorage only a hundred yards or so from the ARR's yard office. |
