This isn't my shot--but an L&N p.r. slide from my collection. When the "General" was restored to service in early 1962, the L&N issued a duplicate slide set of four Agfachrome shots of the restored Civil War veteran. Miraculously, my set still exists, although the slides have faded badly to red, and with a number of blemishes. Using Photoshop, I managed to restore this one (or, at least I tried to restore it). This is in the paint shop at South Louisville, and the car next to it appears to be one of the 1946-built ACF cars for either the Humming Bird or Georgian coach streamliners.
