Saturday, December 5, 2009, 4:34 p.m. PST - #657 Highball'in Fullerton - Metrolink Train #657 highballs out of the station at Fullerton California about an hour behind schedule on dreary Saturday evening in December. (The station is visible between the distant set of signals and the line of palm trees.) The red and white single level car next to the engine is a Utah Front runner car leased from that agency until Metrolink's new cars start arriving from the builder in South Korea in the early part of 2010. This image is part of "A Day on North America's Rails - December 5, 2009" Project. Additionally, this capture is one of the first that I have shot from the West side of the intermediate signals at Highland Avenue and was done specifically for the above project.
