| Snowing all day today in the North West of England. Here we see Class 47 no D1501 bringing up the rear of a Santa Special at Burrs on the East Lancashire Railway. The train was headed by a steam loco. The diesel was attached to the train to bring the stock back, rather than run the steamer round the train. I think it also helped with carriage heating. |
