Remarks & Notes
At the end of a cold winter's day, Union Pacific's Valmy coal empty glides slowly east through downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. The lead motor, UP 7000 was built the GECX 4000 back in March of 1997. It would received it's full UP designation and number by December of 2000. At left, Denver & Rio Grande Western caboose #01503, a fixture at Fourth South yard for nearly 10 years, awaits it's next call to duty on the YRO52R.
