Thanks to some very cold weather conditions, a Utah Railway Wildcat, UT to Moapa, NV coal train has broken in two at milepost 634.25, near Lynn in Price Canyon. By the time the 101 car train had come to a stop on the 2.3% grade, the head end power and the first coal hopper were separated from the balance of the train by a few hundred feet. In this image, the head end rolls slowly toward the balance of the train. After a crewman replaced the broken knuckle, the CUWMAJ-08 resumed it's journey west toward the Nevada Power generating station at Moapa.
