After a 1:30 a.m. call and a very slow start out of Roper yard, Union Pacific's MRONY train has run out of time within the hours of service. Soon a replacement crew will arrive from Helper to rescue the dead train. Today's MRONY-08 has managed to cover 90 miles of railroad, experiencing numerous delays due to cold weather affecting operations. Coupled right behind the third tank car is a light rail vehicle, blue tarped for shipment east to Denver.
