The Nebraska panhandle area reveived a heavy amount of springtime rains. By mid July, the countryside near Belmont was still very green. The hillsides were also covered with millions of tiny yellow flowers as evident in my photo of an Eastbound coal load approaching the top of Crawford hill at Belmont.
