Conrail 2890 (U30B) and leased Bangor & Aroostook 79 (GP9R) take a spin on the turntable as viewed from the westbound hump tower on a fine fall afternoon. Uninvited and unannounced, a friend and I climbed the many steps to the top of the tower to ask if we could take some photos. I think the guys in the tower were a little surprised to see us walk through the door, however, they were friendly enough and gave their "blessings" to shoot all the photos we wanted. Those were the "good ol' days" when a responsible railfan could, in most cases, walk into an tower, station or shop and not be "booted out" or arrested for trespassing!
