It wasn't often that you could photograph the rear of an EMD SDP35, but the opportunity presented itself on this day in January 1967. The yard crew at Raleigh is in charge of the road power for passenger, mail, & express train No. 4 and is backing into the Pullman track at Raleigh with SDP35 1117 to make a pickup. Engine 1117 with its' additional cars will be returned momentarily to its' road crew and train for their 12:01pm departure.
