A quartet of SD40T-2 tunnel motor helpers returns to Minturn after helping a train over the pass. Here they follow the Eagle river that flows through the pass. At this time the SP was purchased by the D&RGW, but because SP was bigger and better known, Southern Pacific was the name that stuck. I didn't see it that way though.
