The date is late for AT&SF 542 as she coasts towards the trainshed at Union Station to fetch the eastbound Texas Chief back to the 21st Street Yard. 542 and sister 543 were retired on May 7, 1974, but 543 survived in the Santa Fe collection which eventually went to CSRM. The rare FM now resides at IRM in Union, IL.
