Remarks & Notes
A4 60009 ''Union of South Africa'' sits in Edinburgh Waverley (Scotlands Captial) as it prepares to work a railtour from Edinburgh Waverley to York called ''The Heart Of Midlothian'' down the famous ECML (East Coast Main Line) via Newcastle & Darlington, 60009 ''Union of South Africa'' used to be based at Haymarket depot which is not far from Edinburgh Waverley during the steam days which means this is familiar territory for 60009, 60009 ''Union of South Africa'' is the sister loco to 4468 ''Mallard'' which still currently hold the fastest steam record which was done back in July 1938 with a speed of 125.88 mph, 4468 ''Mallard'' can now be seen in the NRM (National Railway Museum), York
