| The result of a good day of work at SRI shows the engine and tender apart ready to start its 15 year inspection. Also achieved by the volunteers at SRI was emptying the tender of its coal and removing the firebrick from the inside and also removing the Grates and grate bars. There was only about 4 inches of clearance on the side of the door on 3 track where the Tender is sitting when we shoved it in. This is the last time i will see this beautiful engine for a long time. |
