The October sun has just crept above the horizon and now casts a golden glow on Milwaukee Road 261, still disguised as DL&W 1661, as she waits to head east on the old B&OCT/B&O from the south side of Chicago. 261 was enroute to Huntington, WV, and her chance to show what she could do with a 30-plus car passenger train.
