Remarks & Notes
Ready for the departure! The 241 P 17 has been built in 1949 by "Les Etablissments Schneider". It has entered traffic on May 1950 allocated to Lyon Mouche depot. It was withdrawn on May 1971 from Le Mans depot. In its career No.17 became the highest mileage member of the fleet covering 1,741,865km (1,082,395 miles). After withdrawal from service 241P 17 was moved to Le Creusot where, for many years, it was stored out of public view. Restoration began in 1993 and was completed in 2006. Since September 2006, the locomotive performed many trips in France and even in Switzerland.
