This WB Pink line train has just turned off the Lake ST "L" which it shares with the Green line. The train first climbed a slight grade, then slipped to the right, and now begins to descend. The up and down is the result of realignning the 1894 vertical grade separation where this line, the Logan Square branch crossed over the Lake Street line. In the 1950s, a ramp was substituted for the flyover crossing making for an actual "at grade" connection giving this stretch of "L" its name: the Connector.
