Remarks & Notes
This line, from Belfast to Steelpoort, is one of the longest and most heavily used branch lines on the South African Rail system. It passes through remote and wild country and serves the chrome mines in the Steelpoort area. There is also heavy seasonal agricultural traffic.

Rare South African photographs (older and newer) on RailPictures.Net, where the potential to recreate them either no longer exists for any number of reasons, or the chances of another opportunity are very slim or non existent!
