| A heavy Westbound manifest battles towards the summit of Donner Pass, on a beautiful September morning. Lets hop in a time machine and go back to the early 1980's when Southern Pacific SD45's roamed the old second mainline over the summit... Prance back into 2010, and all that's left is the gravel road and the snowshed on the side of the mighty granite mountain side. When will we see the summit of Donner Pass double tracked again? Only Union Pacific Railroad knows that answer..... |
