Rolling northward along Airport Way over jointed rail, L-shaped window equipped SP 8273 leads with mars light oscillating on BN train # 111 as it travels the last few miles before arriving at its destination of Seattle, WA. In the 1980’s BN & SP cooperated with a run through agreement of each other’s interchange traffic between Portland, OR and Seattle, WA with trains 111 & 112 (the SWD counterpart) and solid SP power on these trains was common practice.
