| Southern Railway B23-7 #4020 works adjacent to the Western Railway of Alabama main line. The locomotive served a joint assignment, working 1st trick as the Southern Railway Opelika Switch Engine and 2nd trick as power for the "T" Line Lafayette (AL) Branch. Access to the Lafayette branch required a short stretch of trackage rights on the Western Railway of Alabama to Roanoke Junction, just east of Opelika |
