Southbound SCL No. 85, the "Everglades," makes its daily stop at the station in Petersburg, VA in May, 1970. RF&P E8A No. 1012 is one of several equipped for pool service south of Richmond on the former ACL. SCL engines crews were happy to catch a RF&P unit, as they were usually cleaner and always significantly better maintained than the SCL units.
