Remarks & Notes
It was only 3 degrees, but the sun was shining, the Red Tail Hawks and Bald Eagles were soaring above the Mississippi, and the chimes from a church in the town of Bellevue rang out a beautiful hymn. Over all, a gorgeous winter day. The peace was interrupted only briefly by a northbound empty crude oil train heading to North Dakota led by a UP locomotive. My vantage point is a lookout from Bellevue State Park. The red building is Potter's Mill, built in the 1840's.
