After sitting at Newport Workshops for eight years, on Monday 21st of February 2011 58RM became the first DERM to run on the mainline since its transfer to Newport in 2003. The DERM is seen here on a driver training and test run from Newport to South Kensington and return, and is now in use being used on regular railfan trips throughout Victoria.
