| My father would occasionally lend me his camera for me to record some railway scenes,although this was an infrequent luxury. This was one of the fortunate occasions when I managed to get a photograph of some quality. It shows a Thompsom "B1" class loco heading away from Gloucester with an express in May 1962. Although not a common class of loco in the Gloucester area,these L.N.E.R. engines did sometimes appear on inter-regional passenger workings. I'm quite proud of the fact that I managed to capture this one on film,as I was a weedy little 11 year old at the time. |
