One of ten brand new GE's, Vale Mining's 1278 heads east through Johnstown en route to Norfolk, VA where it will take a boat ride to its new home in South America. The 1278 is a narrow gauge unit which will ride on B+B trucks giving it a total of eight axles. Its trucks, along with those for some broad guage ES58ACi's also included in the shipment, are riding on flatcars at the head end of the train. These units' flashy scheme differs slightly from the scheme used on the 2009 built ES58ACi's with the addition of the Brazilian flag on the long hood.
