Remarks & Notes
At the time this image was taken on July 12, 1978, three of RF&P's classic wooden overhead bridges remained on the railroad. These bridges were built by the railroad to carry county roads over the railroad and were maintained by the railroad. This one at Colemans Mill, as well as the one at Hunton, have since been replaced with new concrete and steel structures. As of 2011, only one remains, at Lorton, and it is out of service to vehicular traffic and will likely not be replaced. A heavy southbound manifest No. 109 was passing under the bridge at Colemans Mill, led by four units.
