| The 2D2 5516 DC electric locomotive with Büchli drive has been built in 1933 for the PO (Paris to Orleans Company). Originally delivered as PO 2D2 E 516 it later received the SNCF number 2D2 5516. The last 2D2 from the SNCF has been retired from service in 1980. The 2D2 5516 achieved 7 433 209 km in its active life. The locomotive has a weight of 141 tons and the max speed was 140 km/h. A cutaway of this locomotive can now be seen at the "Cité du Train" in Mulhouse. |
