Rare critter. 9999 was the last of the fleet of PRR 44 tonners to roam the streets of Philadelphia. It's street running days over, it auditioned for the job of shop switcher several places, finally going to scrap in 1978. On it's last trip west in the summer of 1978, it didn't even get a respectful trip over Horseshoe, instead operating over the Muleshoe curve.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
