Former SAR/Spoornet/Transnet Freight Rail class 91, now operated by RRL Grindrod as their 91-03, departs Harmony Gold's Nyala Shaft with a full load of ore hoppers. The train will run over mine trackage and Transnet Freight Rail trackage, before the load is handed over to one of Harmony Gold's own locomotives for the final leg to the processing plant. These loco's were built for the 610mm (2'0") gauge and now run on 1067mm (3'6").
