Remarks & Notes
This solid and sturdy 0-6-0 is one of the 111-strong J15 Class built for the Great Southern & Western Railway of Ireland, a design largely unaltered since they were first introduced in 1866! Many lasted until the elimination of Irish Republic steam in 1963. She is pictured by an unknown photographer at Inchicore depot in the suburbs of Dublin. Inchicore works was where most of the class were built. Equally at home on freight or passenger duties, two survive in preservation.
