Work on #40 continues at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad. Due to some unfortunate scheduling issues, the custom made boiler sheets applied just last year had to be removed as part of the 1472 day inspection. A new axle is being fabricated as well. Concurrently, the crew is under contract working with several GE C39-8's for Ross Rowland's Greenbrier Express luxury train set to operate from Washington, D.C. to the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulpher Springs, WV. Tourist railroad - perhaps. Working railroad - no doubt about it. Look for #40 to be back in action mid to late July.
