Florida East Coast 4-4-2 60, Class 45, was one of 20 ALCO built 4-4-2s built in 1904-5. FEC 60 had 70" drivers, 19 x 26 inch cylinders, boiler pressure of 180 lbs, and produced 20,515 lbs of tractive effort. These low-drivered Atlantics were unusual in that for some reason ALCO didn't take advantage of the addition of a trailing axle to enlarge the grate or firebox area by much. These locomotives were gone by 1930. This image from my collection was taken in the FEC Buena Vista Yard in February, 1922.
