Remarks & Notes
Our charter train has just left the Carcross station. It is crossing the wooden swing bridge over the narrow neck of water between the lakes Bennett and Nares. The swing bridge was designed to rotate 90 degrees to allow lake steamers to pass between the two lakes. In the 1960's, the bridge became permanently fixed and reinforced with steel.
