| A former Chicago & Northwestern Operation Lifesaver unit leads an empty grain train northbound on the Choctaw Sub. The original CNW number of 8827 is bleeding through on the long hood. This unit was built in 1994, the same year UP gained minority control of the C&NW. The following year, UP merged with C&NW after acquiring the remaining 75% of its stock and ended its attempts to acquire the Santa Fe. |
