Disguised as "Clinchfield 675" using cardboard numbers, a wooden numberplate, and stick-on lettering, UP's 3985 is shown at Cheyenne one June night in 1988. This inspiration, dreamed up by some Appalachian-region railfans, became the inspiration for the 1992 run of the Challenger on CSX's 50th running of the Santa Claus Special.
An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)
