In the siding at Espanola, a dedicated Boeing 737 train waits with its high value load for two hot eastbound intermodels to pass. This is a unique train and BNSF moves these planes from Wichita, Kansas to Renton, WA approximately three times a week. The fuselages are attached to the flats close to where the landing gear will eventually be and the wings, tail, and other components are in the enclosed cars. All these cars with the exception of the two standard boxcars at the rear are unique and custom built for this service.
