Is it bad luck to have a black cat cross your path on a disconnected track? It was something to ponder while Union Pacific's Salt Lake City, UT to West Colton, CA manifest departed Utah's capital city for California. The mammoth MSCWC from North Yard was more than 9,700 feet long with 150 cars, set up in 3x1 DPU. Must have been a super slooooow journey west on the climb to Boulter Summit!
