A typical NPSLCX, with several CSX units, heads past Kirkwood Depot on the north track. The truck sitting next to the track was still dressed in MoPac orange, and had the MoPac herald on the door. Nearing 20 years later, this train still runs, now as QNPINP, albeit without the classic SD40-2s. Now there are overhead crossing signals at this crossing, large evergreen trees along the fence that would block this shot, and the picturesque railroad code line was removed about a month after this shot was taken.
