Remarks & Notes
Back in L&N days, four-axle power was the norm for most trains on the south end of the railroad, so this power set (2 U30Cs and an SD40) was a good catch as it passed Bell Street tower on its way south from Montgomery. The tower is just visible at the left edge of the frame, with the WofA Selma line and the ICG line to Tuscaloosa peeling off right in front of 1552. To the right is the SCL line to Dothan and Waycross.
