Remarks & Notes

The Rio Grande Zephyr train #18 heads east up the westward main track about 10 miles below the top of the 2% climb to 7440 ft. Soldier Summit. On a side note, check out the rickety old Highway 6 overpass that was soon replaced after this photo was taken.
