| While waiting for a BNSF eastbound intermodal to climb the pass on track 2 at Hill 582, I climbed up from track level to be rewarded with a UP trailer train climbing the pass on the Palmdale Cutoff. The Hill's caretaker, Don Toles take great care of the flora and fauna on the hill. This desert oasis is one the best if not best place to meet railfans and watch trains. |
