| The 'recreation' of titled trains of bygone years is a somewhat spurious practice in my judgement. My belief is that if you're on the train you can't see the headboard and if you're photographing the train you probably don't WANT to see it! To be fair, the River Esk valley in North Yorkshire has many similarities to the Cambrian region of Wales, so I suppose in this instance the headboard can be reasonably justified. Regardless, 75029 looked (and sounded) in fine fettle on this lovely Sunday morning. I've tried to recreate my own bit of nostalgia by converting the image to good ol' black and white. |
