Remarks & Notes
On March 5, 1977, Rio Grande's Bucyrus Derrick 027, a steam powered wrecker (based out of Roper Yard), was called to clean up a coal train derailment on the Union Pacific interchange track at University Avenue in Provo, Utah. Here, GP40 #3085 pulls the wrecker train into position to complete the task. While the situation appears to be rather grim, there was no structural damage to the bridge pilings supporting University Avenue.
