Built in 1873 by the B&O Mount Clare Shops, this 4-6-0 Camelback (originally #373) was retired in 1901 and survives today at the Saint Louis Museum of Transportation. Special thanks to admin for allowing an unusual crop. The Museum really has this engine packed in tight. Just ahead, is a Reading, err, thee one and only Reading steam inspection engine surrounded by netting and scaffolding.
The worst of railroad design. Please, send me your entries / suggestions for the "Album of the ugly trains of the world" (past or present, paint scheme or shape).
