Wabash Railroad: Operating over 2,400 miles of trackage, The Wabash Railroad operated in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and neighboring states in addition to Ontario. Major terminals were based in Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Toledo. While the Wabash name disappeared in the 1960's, it was officially merged into the Norfolk Southern Railway in 1997. The Wabash heritage SD70ACe was painted by Progress Rail in Muncie and serves as the 16th heritage locomotive for Norfolk Southern.
