Remarks & Notes
Salt Lake City's Rio Grande passenger depot was a hub of activity when Amtrak's California Zephyr, Desert Wind, and Pioneer long distance trains combined into one for the journey east to Chicago. July 13, 1987 offered a good example as power from the three trains is lined at the station, awaiting the departure of train #6, the California Zephyr.
