| After many years a rented train arrived in Chrani, Arcadia . The welcome from the friendly locals was touching. The railroad was the life of this beautiful small mountain village in the past and helped the local economic development. There is production of oregano, oil, honey and dried figs in great quality, the locals used to offer these products to the passengers and that is what they want to do with the reopening of the metric gauge line. During our stay we listened to the elders talking with passion about the railways in the past to small children who saw train in their area for the first time. I wish the line to be reopened officially. |
