| An unexpected cab ride was a great way to celebrate the 4th of July. The crew invited me up into the cab for a ride to the next siding. Traveling east from Mescal through Benson, SP 8035 is approaching a yellow signal at the San Pedro River bridge, indicating we will be taking the siding at Fenner. We met the westbound Blue Streak and then waited for the eastbound Amtrak Sunset Limited to run around us. |
